Château de Beynac
Classified historical monuments on February 11, 1944, this castle is perfectly preserved and makes it one of the most famous of the region.
Open all year, accessible by a parking located 1min walk from the castle, the bravest will take the access by the village of Beynac-et-Cazenac for a walk of 20min.
Once at the top, 152 meters above the Dordogne, the view will be breathtaking on this beautiful valley.
Having belonged to King Richard the Lionheart, this fortress was built in such a way as to discourage those who wanted to besiege it (barbican, ramparts, double dungeon ...).
