Classified as a historical monument in 1980, this medieval fortress is the most visited castle in the south of France.

Its height gives a panorama on the valley of the Dordogne and the valley of Céou.

Facing the fortress of Beynac, it overlooks the gardens of Marqueyssac and the village of La Roque-Gageac.

The reconstitution of medieval artillery (trebuchet, mangonels…) and its demonstrations, multimedia terminals, weapon handling shows and many others make it a fun visit for young and old.
