Gouffre de Proumeyssac
Gouffre de Proumeyssac (Google Maps)
Nicknamed the Crystal Cathedral, legend has it that this hole was the devil's home because of the smoke that escaped it.
Explored in 1907, the various galleries reveal stalactites, monoliths and stalagmites.
The gulf has the peculiarity of owning a petrifying fountain that transforms into a year of simple handmade pottery in bright limestone objects.
Two possibilities to visit it:
• Traditionally, access is via a tunnel. 45 minutes long with guides.
• Via a rotating nacelle allowing a 360 degree view.
Sounds and lights complete this grand construction of nature.
